A Royal Picnic – 30 pictures
On William and Catherine’s wedding day, massive crowds gathered in the heart of London to celebrate and wish the couple happiness.
Between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey is St James’s Park, the nucleus of the royal ceremonial route. Revellers laid out on blankets there in wait for the procession, then during the wedding ceremony many relaxed with friends and family for a picnic and a tipple.
